To-day
he
stands
as
the
one
recognized
spokesman
of
his
ten
million
fellows,
and
one
of
the
most
notable
figures
in
a
nation
of
seventy
millions.
One
hesitates,
therefore,
to
criticise
a
life
which,
beginning
with
so
little,
has
done
so
much.
By
taking
away
their
best
equipped
teachers
and
leaders,
by
slamming
the
door
of
opportunity
in
the
faces
of
their
bolder
and
brighter
minds,
will
you
make
them
satisfied
with
their
lot?
or
will
you
not
rather
transfer
their
leading
from
the
hands
of
men
taught
to
think
to
the
hands
of
untrained
demagogues?
Perhaps
we
imagined
it,
but
someway
it
seemed
to
us
that
the
serious
look
that
crept
over
his
boyish
face
that
afternoon
never
left

Frequently asked questions

WPM and accuracy answers for this 6 minutes typing speed test.

What does this 6 minutes typing speed test measure?

This free 6 minutes typing test measures your words per minute (WPM) and typing accuracy. WPM uses correctly typed characters divided by 5, then by elapsed minutes. Start typing to begin — no signup required — and get results when the timer ends.

What is a good WPM and accuracy score?

A 2018 study of 168,000 online volunteers reported a mean of about 52 WPM (Dhakal et al., CHI 2018). TypingGuild's practice targets are 30 WPM (beginner), 40 WPM (practice goal), and 60 WPM (advanced). Aim for high accuracy first, then raise speed with consistent retesting at the same duration.

Why take a 6 minutes typing test?

A 6 minutes session gives you a timed WPM and accuracy measurement you can repeat later for comparison. Retake it regularly to track your own progress, or try other durations when you want a shorter warm-up or a longer session.
