Name your files clearly, with underscores instead of spaces: english_essay_draft2.docx or bio_lab_notes.pdf. In math class, a caret marks an exponent when you can't write it small: 2^5 = 32 and 10^3 = 1,000. A tilde means about: the trip takes ~45 minutes. On a Windows computer, a file path uses backslashes: C:\Users\student\Documents\history. A vertical bar can separate parts of a title: Grade 9 | English | Unit 3. In notes, backticks mark code: type `print` to show text.

Next: N with your right index finger + left Shift (left pinky)
