A car travels 180 miles in 3 hours. Its average speed is 180 / 3 = 60 miles per hour. At that rate, how far will it go in 5 hours? 60 * 5 = 300 miles. A recipe uses 2 cups of rice for every 3 cups of water, a ratio of 2:3. To cook 6 cups of rice, you need 9 cups of water. A store sells 4 apples for $3. How much do 10 apples cost? Each apple costs $0.75, so 10 cost $7.50.
