Research summary: Several studies link late-night phone use to shorter sleep among teens (Garcia, 2022; Patel & Wong, 2023). In our school survey of 212 students, those who used phones after 11 p.m. reported 6.4 hours of sleep on average, compared with 7.8 hours for those who stopped by 9 p.m. Because the survey relied on self-reports, the results have limits. Still, the pattern matches earlier research. Full data: https://school.example.org/research/sleep-2026.csv
